Eason Lu - Portrait Photo Shoot

Photographing Eason Lu

It’s always a gift to work with someone who not only values photography but understands the power of image in storytelling. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Eason Lu on four separate occasions, each time creating portraits that reflect his layered identity and evolving journey.

Eason’s background is as dynamic as it is inspiring—he works at the intersection of Chinese cultural history, literature, and performance. With a deep focus on East Asian media cultures and over a decade of experience as a producer and advisor in the media industry across China, Hong Kong, and the U.S., what makes working with Eason so enjoyable is the trust he places in me. He gives me the creative freedom to explore and shape each portrait session, which allows us to craft images that feel personal, unexpected, and honest. Our sessions are never rushed; they are conversations—visual and human—that unfold in front of the lens.

These portraits aren’t just for PR use; they’re visual narratives that honor Eason’s intellect, experience, and quiet charisma. It’s been a joy documenting his evolving path, and I look forward to continuing our collaboration.
