There's a particular kind of joy in working with someone who has spent decades mastering their craft. Min Jin Lee has that. It shows in how she carries herself, how she listens, how she sits in front of a camera without needing to perform. That made this shoot for Poets & Writers one of the best I've done this year. We talked about her career, about what shaped her as a writer, about the long road that led here. Then she sat down and gave me exactly that. Poets & Writers has trusted me with their covers and editorials for a couple of years now, and it's a relationship I value. This is the work I chase: a real conversation, a subject who shows up fully, and a cover that holds all of it.
