Question: How many people can you photograph in a day?
Answer: Andres typically asks for about 10 minutes with each person, which allows him to photograph up to 60 headshots during a 10-hour shoot day.
Question: What is the process for each person's corporate headshot?
Answer: We start by ensuring the person’s wardrobe looks good. If needed, we do a quick touch-up on hair and makeup if we have a makeup artist on set. Then, we begin shooting. Andres shoots tethered, meaning the photos are displayed immediately on a larger screen, such as a laptop or iPad, rather than just on the back of his camera. This allows the person being photographed to see the images in real-time, and we work together to ensure they get the best possible portrait. During the 10-minute session, Andres guides the subject on posing and helps them relax in front of the camera.
Question: How many retouched photos do we get per person?
Answer: The number of retouched photos you receive per person depends on your needs. You can choose as many final images as you like, but Andres charges per-image, so most companies typically opt for one or two final photos per person. If you need more images per employee or for certain individuals within the organization, we’ll ensure we customize your estimate or charge for additional photos once you make your selections.
Question: What does retouching include?
Answer: Retouching typically involves removing blemishes, softening wrinkles and under-eye bags, reducing shiny skin, tidying up flyaway hairs, and whitening teeth. We encourage everyone to arrive camera-ready so that minimal retouching is needed, keeping the look more natural. The goal is to enhance the image subtly without making changes that would be noticeable in person. Special requests can be accommodated at an additional cost during the proofing stage, but Andres recommends avoiding an overly photoshopped or filtered appearance. His aim is always to keep portraits as natural as possible
Question: How big of a room do we need in our office to take corporate headshots?
Answer: For photos on a background, a space of at least 5 feet by 7 feet is ideal to accommodate the portable studio setup. If you prefer photos with the office in the background, a space of about 3 feet by 5 feet is usually sufficient. However, Andres has worked in smaller spaces before, so feel free to discuss your setting when booking, and he can advise accordingly. Andres also likes to do a location scout before the shoot day, if possible, to assess the space and ensure everything is set up for the best results.
Question: Can you handle large teams across multiple office locations, even in different states?
Answer: Absolutely. Andres has traveled to various client locations to ensure continuity in portraits across the company. With extensive experience working with large multinational companies, He can bring his portable studio to any office for full team business portraits. Once we define the style, Andres makes sure each image is consistently styled, providing you with a cohesive set of images that represent your business in the best possible light.
Question: Do you offer corporate team and group photography?
Answer: Yes, there are two ways we can approach this. The first is to create a composite from several studio group portraits, and the second is to photograph everyone together in a more styled and relaxed pose. Andres prefers to shoot everyone on set. He’s photographed groups ranging from as few as 5 to over 100 people. For larger groups, we’ll need to assess the space beforehand to ensure everything is set up properly. Keep in mind that retouching costs for group photos can differ, as it may involve more people and possibly replacing faces if someone’s expression isn’t ideal. We can customize the rate for these kinds of requests.
Question: Do you shoot corporate lifestyle and environmental photography?
Answer: Yes. In fact, many of our clients book a combination of headshots and lifestyle photography on the same day. This allows you to build a library of authentic images that can be used across your website and marketing materials instead of relying on generic stock photos. If this is something you're interested in, feel free to reach out for a custom quote.
Question: Can I reschedule or cancel the shoot, and are there any fees associated with either?
Answer: Andres understands unforeseen circumstances can arise. Therefore, he offers clients the opportunity to reschedule their shoots one time only. As you know, all cancellations will incur a studio rental fee of $100 per hour. Rescheduled shoots must take place within 90 days of the original shoot date. A full cancellation will incur a loss of 100% of your payment.
Question: Where in New York City do you shoot, and can you come to our office in Manhattan?
Answer: Our studio is located in Midtown Manhattan, right in the heart of New York City. However, if needed, we can travel to your office location and bring all our lighting equipment, backgrounds, and other setup items with us. If your office doesn’t have the space for a shoot but you still want an office background feel, we can also help you rent a location around New York City for your corporate team photo shoot. Please note that renting a location is an additional cost, but we can assist in finding the right place for you.
