In Guatemala, a national program called “Mis Años Dorados” (My Golden Years), serves as an initiative to gather elderly people in the community to receive the love and care they deserve in this golden stage of their lives. On one special day, I had the opportunity to join The Healing Hands Foundation to honor these members with an all-day celebration that included portrait sessions with each one of them. For many, it was the only printed photo of themselves they ever received.
